The cast iron pneumatic diaphragm pump is designed as a reciprocating pump with positive displacement. This compressed air then drives the link shaft situated in the middle body of the pump, resulting in the movement of the diaphragm within the pump's medium chamber. This motion allows the diaphragm to stretch transversely and facilitates the self-priming action of the fluid.
Inside the pump, there are two symmetric working chambers, each equipped with an elastic diaphragm. These diaphragms are connected by a rod, which synchronizes their movement. As compressed air enters the valve through the pump inlet joint, it propels the diaphragms within the working chambers, enabling the rod to drive both diaphragms simultaneously. Simultaneously, the gas present in the alternate chamber is expelled from the pump through the back of the diaphragm.
The pneumatic diaphragm pump comprises two essential parts: the airflow structure and the liquid flow structure. These two structures are separated by the diaphragms, ensuring a well-defined barrier between the air and liquid streams, preventing any interference or cross-contamination.
