The cast iron pneumatic diaphragm pump operates as a reciprocating pump with positive displacement. It relies on an air compressor to supply compressed air to the distribution valve in order to drive the diaphragm pump. The diaphragm pump consists of a middle body where a link shaft is located. As the compressed air enters the distribution valve, it drives the link shaft, which in turn moves the diaphragm in a transverse stretching motion within the medium chamber of the pump body. This stretching motion allows the diaphragm pump to self-imbibe fluid.
The pump has two symmetric working chambers, each equipped with an elastic diaphragm. The two diaphragms are connected by a rod, allowing them to move synchronously. When compressed air enters the pump through the inlet joint, it promotes the movement of the diaphragm in both working chambers. Simultaneously, the gas in the other chamber is expelled from the pump through the back of the diaphragm. This ensures continuous operation of the pneumatic diaphragm pump.
The structure of the pneumatic diaphragm pump consists of two parts: the airflow structure and the liquid flow structure. These two parts are separated by the diaphragm, which acts as a barrier. This arrangement ensures that the airflow and liquid flow are isolated and do not mix.
